Bumped: House Husbands

House Husbands fans are in for a two week wait -and the show is also moving nights.

Julia MorrisMore programming changes for House Husbands.

The show is off for a week and is switching nights, presumably due to The Block returning this Sunday.

The drama is back on Mondays from August 4th at 8:30pm.

That’s the same night where it started this season before it was bumped to Sundays. It’s not clear why the show is off next week, but it can probably be attributed to the Masterchef grand final next Monday.

Last night was one of the show’s better episodes with trouble between Lewis (Gary Sweet) and Gemma (Julia Morris).

Fans will now have to wait 2 weeks before seeing how things play out.

  1. This really annoys me. In the TV Guide it says Sunday night 9am in a article in the magazine. Then you look on Sunday night it’s not there. I’m sick of this show changing nights and the story lines are just getting boring. The first season was great but now it really doesn’t worry me if I miss an episode. They are killing the show massively. Offspring and Winners and Losers beats this Aussie TV show hands down

  2. I have stopped watching House Husbands. It’s such a negative, depressing show. Nothing nice happens. The characters seem to be nasty or totally stupid.

  3. I can guarantee it won’t start at 8.30. The block will go over and it will most likely start at 9. I laughed when it said new night!,
However last night so was really good. Was that the end for Rachel though? Hope she comes back aside from almost cheating with Lewis I enjoyed her character and it was nice seeing her on tv again.

  4. Have to disagree with comments about the storylines. I’m enjoying this season as much as the previous ones. The storylines are meant to be humorous and not so serious all of the time.

  5. Sadly House Husbands is going downhill. This season the show has lost the plot, and they have wasted the very talented Rachel.

Last night when I saw the promotions for the new episode, they were calling it the best episodes ever. Sorry House Husbands, you will never ever ever be like Offspring, Love My Way, etc etc. I feel like Nine is killing the show on purpose.

  6. steviem -“I originally got hooked in by good actors with strong characters but now its gone so far down the bizarre its car crash Australian drama”

Have to agree with @stieviem about House Husbands .
Not quite car crash drama yet but the storylines are ridiculous and the scenerios are so often forced and corny.
I keep watching for some strange reason,
( maybe its all the well known Aus actors), but always end up wondering why.

  7. I watch this weekly, its one of those shows i dont miss but i dont know why i watch it…

The quality of the storyline this season is horrific…like they now own a pub? .. the principal is getting her gay relative a date to bribe a recommendation for his friends daughter that no longer goes to the school because she stabbed other kids with insulin…meanwhile the footy player doesnt really do anything other than follow other characters around??

Its all very bizarre, yet its my fault for continuing to watch.

I originally got hooked in by good actors with strong characters but now its gone so far down the bizarre its car crash Australian drama.

  8. So they’ve just sold the format to France and Italy. People like the show, it rates pretty well. So what do Nine do? Mess with it. Typical. This thing could run for four or five years but Nine are so short sighted they can’t just play it out and find a different slot for the block.

  9. stop stuffing it around. Last nights episode was good and Im disappointed its not on next week and I cant believe its back to monday nights now.

  10. How hard is it to pick a night and stick with it? It’s almost as though they are setting it up for failure. You would expect that a local drama investment deserves better. If I didn’t like the show so much, I’d have given up already.
