  1. @hardcorePrawn. noted and point taken..

Actually my comment was kind of tongue in cheek, But I really like Mel from watching her on Fox Sports for many years.

Now this is a much better pose with Sarah Jones

Yes TPG aren’t bad, but its unlimited I guess but perhaps looking at other options.

@Secret squarrel Yes perhaps getting back with iinet at some point.

  3. In response to my own comment: something went awry with the formatting of that web address. Replace the small x near the end of the address with a proper letter x to get to the image…

  4. @sky11 – Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not having a go at Mel, it’s just that most of Ten’s female presenters are seemingly made to pose the same way. I just find it a bit odd.

Have a google image search on a few names and I guarantee there’ll be at least one official promo pic of each in that pose.
    Here’s a perfect example, promoting Ten’s ill-fated Breakfast show:

I have a sneaking suspicion that Sandra Sully must’ve done it once in the past, and it had just the right reaction from the male viewers to warrant it being done again and again… 😀

  5. @HardcorePrawn. a little tough on Mel me thinks.

What do you want, hands behind back, on hips, arms folded or picking her nose?

I think she looks ok 🙂

  6. @dan – TPG are cheap but their contention ratio is poor as they don’t invest in backhaul (connection from the exchanges to the internet backbone). This means that on most exchanges you will experience slower downloads, more timeouts, higher pings, etc from mid-afternoon when the kids get home from school.

iiNet are usually the best value for money with best service but search/ask on Whirlpool if you want more info on your particular exchange.

  7. I would prefer having it on foxtel because you can watch it on a bigger screen and record it i hope the Olympics have a foxtel package

    @loppy is TPG any good

  8. Off topic, but I wonder why Ten insist that so many of their young, female presenters pose for publicity shots in the same manner, i.e. limply holding one fingernail with the fingertips of the other hand?

Is it meant to be alluring? Inspire confidence in their abilities? What?

I’ll wager that if a full length shot of the above promo pic exists we’d also see Mel McLaughlin standing pigeon-toed too…

  9. No thanks. I don’t want to use an entire months worth of internet allowance to watch the Games. I’ll just wait for news updates and read the paper. Watching the Games for 2 weeks on TenPlay, will make pretty fast work of 500GB.
