FOX Sports signs new English cricket deal

FOX Sports nabs upcoming Eng. v India and Eng. v NZ cricket tours.

evinFOX Sports has signed a new agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board that will see it broadcast the full upcoming England v India and England v New Zealand cricket tours, as well as the MCC V Rest of the World match.

FOX Sports CEO, Patrick Delany, said: “Cricket fans in Australia have been asking for television coverage of this tour. We are thrilled to deliver the masses of passionate English and Indian cricket fanatic’s down under exclusive coverage of the highly anticipated upcoming full English tour.

“The addition of the next two tours in England rounds out FOX Sports’ extensive schedule of International cricket over the next 12 months, including every game Live of the 2015 Cricket World Cup.”

The opening Test between England and India gets underway on Wednesday (July 9) and FOX Sports will be the place fans can see the entire five-Test series, the five- match ODI series and the Twenty20 International Live.

The Indian side arrive at Nottingham with fond memories of a successful ICC Champions Trophy in England last June. The tourists are looking to avenge their back-to-back Test series defeats when they take on Alastair Cook’s men in first Test at Trent Bridge. England enters the series having just suffered their first-ever home series defeat against Sri Lanka.

  1. Pity they cannot get the rights for English Championship , League 1 and 2 Football, do they know not everyone follows sides in the Premier League, tried Setanta but they must televise the games of a TV scree the picture is truly a disgrace

  2. That’s very good news for cricket fans with Foxtel. Shame it took the public to protest on various forums for Foxtel to sign a new argeement (as there previous argeement with the ECB expired at the end of last year) as the England v Sri Lanka series in England has passed by & Channel 9 having the exclusive tv rights for the Ashes next year in England.
