A few years ago I posted a wonderful behind the scenes clip from a crew member on The Circle.
Now Sam Hardeman is leaving TEN after 6.5 years working in Lighting.
“It’s been such a treasured relationship filled with such warmth and love. Yes i’ve blessed to work alongside such talented people that have guided my career down the right path and explore the different avenues of television,” he says.
“From the days of my traineeship where I unearthed my passion for shooting and editing to the joys of working in lighting and studio production. I have learnt life long skills that have shaped who I am today. We’ve accomplished so much together in this little rabbit warren and I’m glad to be apart of all the action.”
In departing, he has put together another magical video which tells me he should be working in Directing instead.
Sam has a great eye for detail and candid intimacy.

You can check out more of his work here, including a special Behind the Scenes video at The Project.
Good luck, Sam!

Sometimes I wonder if these networks are using such talented people like Sam wisely or they’re just on this endless pursuit of formula reality TV. No one wants to take a risk these days. I wish Sam well. nice work.
Brilliant work, Sam. All the best for your future endeavours
Friend of yours then?
Did he leave on his own accord or was he one of the many employees let go? If anyone needs good lighting its Family Feud. Its do dark and drab!
Nope never met him. His videos are excellent and a perfect fit for TVT’s regular deconstruction of the making of television.
