  1. Pointless to “Fast Track” any show if the network will not commit to the same timeslot for at least four weeks. What about giving them time to “build” an audience? Also putting them up against popular shows is not giving them a fair go. The stupidity of these decision makers is astounding!
Blacklist and Gotham I will record and watch later, the rest I will ignore.
What about Revenge? The Flash? Arrow? Sleepy Hollow?
Oh, just bring back A Place To Call Home!!! 🙁

  2. Viewers don’t respect the networks that fast track, since they are off air from Nov to Feb and not fast tracked!
I am surprised at how few are titles are identified as fast tracked.
@ Elizabeth C Greys has had atrocious treatment I recent years. It wold make sense to follow Revenge where it used to air after Desperate Housewives or on Thursdsy where it has also aired. But double eps to burn it off is 7’s favourite treatment for thus long standing show.
    Reality rules on 7!??

  3. The Blacklist dominated Wednesday nights last year so that was expected. The 2nd half will be used by Seven for the start of next years ratings. It will be interesting to see if they screen the end of the first block on non-ratings again though.

Nine have to get TBBT on and Ten Modern Family and they will rate whenever they are on. Homeland will probably rate marginally better than what Ten has on now.

Gotham and Stalker are interesting. New shows do badly when launched in October but are likely to be illegally downloaded by 16-34s more than average. Arrow started OK in early winter and then faded fast so I guess Nine figures they are short of content at the moment and have nothing much to lose.

  4. Looking forward to Stalker and Gotham. I love Maggie Q from Nikita and i think this show has some promise BUT Dylan McDermott seems to be the actor that puts a kiss of death on a show so i worry. I do think though there is so many promising new dramas this season than last. They look much stronger. Comedies though as usual not so much.

Also I love The Blacklist so can’t wait for that to return along with the regulars in Modern Family and Homeland.

  5. Well if this isn’t the wake up call to viewers to abandoned FTA, I don’t know what will. Six measly shows. This is a true embarrassment to FTA and simply hammers home the fact that they’re antiquated, have no long term thinking and will be dead within less than a decade.
What’s sadder is that none of these will truly be fast-tracked. They’ll all be airing days after they’ve been on in the states.
Oh, and do we really think Nine will show Gotham all the way through without a million timeslot changes and eventually dropping it altogether?

  6. If Gotham is being shown on nine it will be moved within 2 weeks and gone within 4. Not sure why they keep bothering with these sort of shows.

And the blacklist, modern family and homeland still in SD. Pass.

  7. So no Grey’s Anatomy this year? Last year they showed a dismal 8 or so episodes before Christmas & then pumped out the rest of the season several months later. Given Thursday nights are a shocker you’d think 7 would put Grey’s, Bones or Castle here. I can’t remember how many time slots these shows have had over the years. There is hardly any thing on TV at the moment in the drama/crime categories but plenty of reality rubbish.

I’m surprised how few shows are being fast tracked. Surely the US has more to offer?
