Foxtel Play adds new channels

Foxtel's online subscription service adds BBC First, CI, Lifestyle Food and Lifestyle Home.

PeakyBlinders_Ep2_02Foxtel’s online subscription service Foxtel Play has announced new channels as part of its suite of channels: BBC First, CI, Lifestyle Food and Lifestyle Home

Foxtel Play, designed to entice new subscribers without requiring a standard home installation, will now have over 5 Live channels.

Ed Smith, Foxtel Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, said, “Foxtel Play has experienced a great period of growth since launch and we’re thrilled to expand the channel line-up for customers hungry for great programming. BBC First has been eagerly anticipated among subscribers and is a fantastic new channel to round out our Foxtel Play offering.”

Foxtel today announced that starting in August, customers can enjoy four new channels via Foxtel Play*, Foxtel’s internet delivered subscription service. Newly launched BBC First joins the Foxtel Play stable of programming along with popular entertainment programs Lifestyle Food and Lifestyle Home and documentary channel Crime + Investigation. Today’s news means Foxtel Play customers will have access to up to 50 live and 53 on demand channels.

BBC First is available as of today for Foxtel Play subscribers who select the Drama pick as part of their package. Lifestyle Food and Lifestyle Home, available under the Entertainment pick, and Crime + Investigation, part of the Documentary pick, will follow shortly after on 5 August.

Programming highlights for the new channels in August and September include: BBC First – The Musketeers, Peaky Blinders, The Politician’s Husband and Burton & Taylor; Lifestyle Food – Come Dine with Me Couples; Lifestyle Home – Selling Houses, You Live in What?; Crime + Investigation – Westbrook.

Foxtel has also increased the availability of Complete Seasons delivered to Foxtel Play and residential subscribers giving customers the opportunity to discover and catch up on hit series and new favourites. New additions featuring in August and September include: Orange is The New Black season 1; Girls season 1 & 2; House of Anubis season 1-3; Boardwalk Empire season 3 & 4 and True Blood season 5 & 6.

  1. @Tom im 100% with you these prices are a ripoff i thought they would drop with the new packages foxtel did. The idea is very good for me i cant get foxtel in our place but these prices are way too much

  2. Awesome additions, they just need to add sky weather now, sky news always asks me to switch over for a detailed report but that channel isn’t on Foxtel Play.

  3. Just checked the pricing of Foxtel Play, I expected it to be a lot cheaper considering we are not getting a IQ box, there are limited channels and we are using our data quota. Those packs should be $10 each.
