It was a wild and sexy ride, but now True Blood comes to an end.

It was a wild and sexy ride, but on Monday, True Blood comes to an end after 7 seasons.
Rarely are shows as theatrical as this gothic tale in the Deep South. It was full of fantasy, horror, sex and metaphors, with a romantic triangle for Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård.
Together with Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis, and Joe Manganiello, Bon Temps was a hotbed of life, death and lust. As a cable series it rode a wave of sex and gore on the screen, under creator Alan Ball, before many that would follow.
Not every season was perfect. S5 featuring Christopher Meloni in the Vampire Authority’s bunker was an endurance. But then it bounced back.
Special mention to Australia’s own Ryan Kwanten, and a season appearance by Grant Bowler.
For the final episode the show is teasing either ‘true love’ or ‘true death.’
You can catch the episode 3:30pm Monday on Showcase.
Here are some of the faces we’ll remember….

I have the buffer set to “Auto” and have had no problems before.
Sometimes SBS and the ABC run close to the wind, but no major dramas. I don’t watch the other FTA stations, so don’t need a huge buffer when reality rubbish regularly runs over.
A buffer of 20 minutes would fill the hard drive too quickly!
Up until now Foxtel has been reliable.
Will look at other options for the future.
@ Dalmanic I did exactly the same thing. Could not believe Foxtel chopped 5 mins. Unacceptable.
It did seem front-loaded with promos yes. Do you have a buffer added to your IQ? Mine is 20 mins.
Would you believe I IQ recorded the 3.30pm show, and when I went to watch it later, found they’d run so late starting it that the ending was missing?
Fortunately I was able to catch the missing 5 minutes later this evening. Really ruined it though.
That’s why I pay all those dollars to Foxtel?
So I can get the same shoddy service as FTA?
Please, Netflix, Hulu, somebody, hurry up!
Yes, best opening credits ever!
I’m going to miss so many favourite characters, especially the gorgeous Vampire Bill.
Agree with @Jduder season one was the standout.
With so many weird story arcs, I did stick it out and will be a little sad to see the folk of Bon Temps fade away, particularly Sooki and Jason.
I still love the opening credits.
I baled half way through season three when Sookie went up in a spaceship or some such nonense. So many great people, but like most American series, they have to squeeze the juice till it is dry.,
I’m sad to see it go. I’ve watched every episode and I don’t want to see it go! Pam is definitely my favourite character followed very closely by Lafayette. I enjoyed season 4 with the witches but the first season will always be fav for getting me hooked on True Blood!!
