TEN resumes Family Feud on 3 channels

Commonwealth Games is ending, so TEN resumes Family Feud on ONE once more.

2014-08-01_2213Survey says 3 is bigger than 2.

The Commonwealth Games end on Monday morning but TEN has decided to return to its simulcast of Family Feud on three channels.

During the Games it aired on TEN and ELEVEN.

TEN only confirmed its plans for the channel very late on Friday afternoon, which has been a habit of late, perhaps to avoid too much scrutiny.

There are also two Grant Denyer-marathons on TEN and ELEVEN today / tomorrow.

It’s a shame TEN doesn’t have the confidence in the show to let it play on a single channel.

  1. Nice to see Family Feud back on 3 channels after the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games. That way we can see the new eps of Family Feud in HD.

  2. Ten, it’s hard to hear the truth sometimes, but your ‘new’ show is officially a flop if you are relying on weak multichannels to prop it up in the ratings.

Please, please, please just don’t waste any more money on this – let the backlog of episodes play out then try again with something else.

  3. I miss my Happy Days fix at 5.00. It appears they are moving it and The Brady Bunch to Saturdays from today. I’m surprised by how popular BH 90210 is. I watched it back in the day, but can’t get into it now. I try, but end up turning over to Eddie at 5.30.

  4. The Commonwealth Games has taken some viewers away from FF so they want to do everything they can to get them back.

It’s only a problem for people who would rather watch repeats of Everybody Loves Raymond or Cops or whatever else would be on Eleven or One at 6pm than FF.

  5. TEN run the risk now of making sure viewers do not tune into Ten, I will switch off just after the news, or not watch the news which I like to watch.

BH 90210 I guess has now or will stay at 5.00 pm. What is the point of multi channels if you only get the same show.
    Grrrrrr

If it was only to start the show I could understand, but now, stupid move.
Next thing we will have the Bachelor on every channel, now if you are broadcasting the same show do you get local drama or produced points x 3 ?

  6. Know that 10 are showing it on all three channels to try and keep the ratings up but you are either interested in watching it or your not, and if your not, then why would you switch to one of the multichannels to watch the same thing that is on the main channel, doesn’t seem to make sense. Only time will tell to see what happens.

  7. a shame really that they’re going back to 3 channels. Just shows that Ten aren’t confident in the show.

Didn’t the show rate in the top 20 a few times when it aired on 2 channels (during the Games). Surely that was a good sign. Next step should have been on one channel (Ten), not go backwards.

  8. I will miss the Comm games! It gave me something decent to watch at Breakfast. Have found the news too saturated with the same morbid reporting!
