The Recruit tops FOX8 ratings

FOX8's new AFL reality series is enjoying bumper figures in its first 3 weeks.

2014-08-04_2251Foxtel is cheering its new AFL reality show The Recruit after the show has topped STV ratings in its first three episodes.

Timeshifted numbers for its first episode on July 16 attracted a total of 419,000 viewers across its various airings on FOX8 and FOX Footy.

The series, which is offers an AFL draft contract, is now in the league of local hits Wentworth, The Real Housewives of Melbourne and Wife Swap Australia and is now FOX8’s most watched series so far this year.

Foxtel General Manager, Entertainment Channels, Brendon Moo, said: “The Recruit has really kicked a goal for our viewers and for FOX8. This outstanding performance shows our subscribers, who we know embrace AFL, have also become fans of this exciting new series.

The Recruit follows previous sports-reality searches Cricket Superstar and Football Superstar.
