“World’s smallest woman” joins American Horror Story

Jyoti Amge, listed in the Guiness Book of World Records title as “world’s smallest woman,” has been cast in the upcoming season of American Horror Story.

The next chapter in the series centres on the last freak show in America circa 1952 and sees Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Frances Conroy all returning.

Ryan Murphy announced via Twitter that Jyoti Amge has joined the anthology series. Amge, who has a genetic disorder called Achondroplasia, is only 61.1cm (2′ 0.6″) tall.

Also joining are Michael Chiklis, playing a strongman married to Bassett’s character, plus guest stars Wes Bentley, Patti LaBelle and Finn Wittrock.
