  1. Well those who waited are in for a treat. I’m almost jealous.

ABC2 also have the final season of Being Human to show. I believe the DVDs of the Misfits and Being Human final seasons are available locally after already airing on Foxtel.

Ten did screen the final season of Malcolm in the Middle a few years ago. I’m not sure if Nine ever got around to showing them.

  2. I’ve only got onto watching Breaking Bad and I’m glad the ABC are showing it without the ads and can watch it any time on iView. I’m not fussed I didn’t watch it on the exact day the episodes premiered. The same goes with the Bates Motel on 7 last night.

  3. Too little too late, ABC2 !

“Would you believe there are still people out there who have never seen it?”
With all respect to @Secret Squirrel and @Wolfie Boy you must be amongst the illustrious handful of people in Aus who patiently waited all that time for the final to be shown on ABC2 or have never seen it it all.

I did the same…. loyally waiting, waiting waiting, but after several emails to The ABC asking when we might get to see the final 8 eps of BB, with no reply, I caved in some time ago and ended up watching it on Itunes.

The pivotal “Ozymandias” ep definitely deserved the recent win at The Emmys – an exceptional piece of drama in every way.

Guilty, your honour! And I can’t even explain why! I saw the box set of all episodes on sale the other day for $129 & was tempted. So yeah, if anyone broadcasted it from the beginning, I’d watch it.

Just as a comparison, this was 1 of 2 shows I badly wanted to watch. The other was ‘Broadchurch’, which the main ABC channel has been playing on Sunday nights of late. Of course, catching up with 8 eps is a bit different to 62.

  5. I have patiently waited for this second-half of S5 and resisted a strong urge to buy the DVDs or something despite not being able to completely avoid spoilers. So I’m grateful that it’ll soon be here but why is ABC putting it on at 10:30pm on a Saturday? I think I’ll be catching it on iView.

  6. It never ceases to amaze me that the greatest TV series ever produced barr none has only ever been given free to air runs on ABC2. I have always thought with its now total iconic status a commercial station could throw some money and promote it to blazes and it would still rate its head off. Would you believe there are still people out there who have never seen it.
