Erin Molan for Today?
Speculation today over who will replace Ben Fordham's on the Today show.

Could Erin Molan be named as Ben Fordham’s on the Today show?
That’s the chatter according to the Daily Telegraph.
Ben Fordham departs Today at the end of the year to focus on his radio role at 2GB.
Molan is a regular on the NRL Footy Show, and recently quit the Kyle and Jackie O Show over inappropriate and sexist questions.
But according to the article David Gyngell is believed to be leaning towards Tim Gilbert as Fordo’s replacement.
Tim Gilbert is already entrenched with Today, but the show has been accused in the past of being “too blokey.” The loss of Georgie Gardiner hasn’t helped with ratings this year. Matt Shirvington’s name is also in the mix.
Yesterday’s Melbourne appearance was a chance for audiences to reconnect with the cast, but such events are also a significant cost consideration.

So, is anyone going to believe that she is there for her sporting knowledge? Anyway, I can’t stand Carl or Richard Wilkins so I refuse to watch the show. Give me Sunrise anyday!
Tim Gilbert has the gig. There’s a surprise. Not!
I really don’t think Erin would be a good choice. I saw her present at the Allan Border Medal and she came across as ackward and out of her depth when required to ad lib. A much better choice would be Wendy Kingston, Davina Smith, or even Yvonne Sampson who I think would work better with Karl.
As a sports reporter for Nine News (and at times on the Sunday NRL Footy Show), she is great. However, as a panellist though on The Thursday Footy Show, she comes across awkward at the best of times. She doesn’t fit in a “panel-type show”… yet.
I’ve seen her on Nine shows here and there and find her annoying?

No offense to the young lady…but cute young blonde women are popping up all over…not just on Nine.

Noooooo. No offence to Erin but really, Nine you have Tim Gilbert who has chemistry galore with everyone on the panel. As for being ‘too blokey’ Today in recent times seems to have gone the other way. Clint Stanaway would in my opinion be a much better option.
Since Sylvia joined the show has already dumbed down a bit (Georgie was just a hard act to follow).
I was also hoping that if Karl decided to move on then his brother Pete would take the seat but I don’t think they would put him there now with his girlfriend Sylvia now there.
Keep Erin on the Footy Show where I don’t have to watch her.
I am a very long standing viewer of Today so I hope they don’t do this.
How does Nine ever possibly expect to make Today more appealing to the core middle aged female demographic by filling the desk with hot young blondes who have close to zero experience with breakfast TV?
Only if they filmed him from the waist down. Running.
