FOX Sports nabs Australia v Pakistan test series

FOX Sports has announced Live coverage of Australia’s six-match tour against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates next month.

2014-09-16_1410FOX Sports has announced Live and Exclusive coverage of Australia’s six-match tour against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates, including one T20 International, three One-Day Internationals and two Test matches.

The Aussies will clash with Pakistan in Test cricket for the first time since 2010 in a two-Test series, headlining a six-match tour of the UAE beginning on October 6 (AEDT).

Australia and Pakistan last met in the Test arena in England in 2010, splitting a two-match series one-all, and will once again meet on neutral ground with matches in Dubai (22-26 October) and Abu Dhabi (30 October- 3 November).

The month-long tour will see the two nations clash in all three forms of the game, opening with a stand-alone Twenty20 International on October 6 (2.55am AEDT on FOX Sports 1HD & FOX Sports 1).

The action then switches to the 50-over format with a three-match ODI series beginning in Sharjah on October 7, before the first of two Tests gets underway on October 22 in Dubai.

FOX Sports will provide Live and Exclusive coverage of every match of the tour, all in High Definition for Foxtel sports subscribers.

Former Test paceman and FOX SPORTS Presenter Brendon Julian will join legendary former Australian Test captain Allan Border to deliver thirty minutes of lead-in coverage and anlaysis at each session break on each day of the two-Test series.

Included within the new broadcast arrangement with Pakistan Cricket, FOX Sports also gained Exclusive broadcast rights for New Zealand’s tour of the UAE to play Pakistan in three Tests, two T20 Internationals and five ODI’s from November 9.

  1. @glennc – Ten can’t keep using the same commentators over and over again as they will need a break from time to time. You forgot Richards and with Roz over at Ten I am sure she will be a part of the broadcast. Maybe Matt White is hosting as well

  2. @William the BBL is one game a night. They have Ponting, Gilchrist, Fleming, Waugh, Howard, Maher, Pietersen, (and others I’m sure), McLaughlin as an anchor. Not sure how many they need?

    I had assumed Fox had the rights to this already……
    Guess I was wrong there!!
