On AFL weekend, Breakfast Television hit the centre of Melbourne with Sunrise at Federation Square and Today at Crown’s riverside promenade.
Thankfully a Spring morning was kind to both, ahead of tomorrow’s game.
Sunrise had Ed Sheeran and Chris Hemsworth with Kochie, Sam, Nat and Berretts, while Today had the Madden Bros. with Karl, Lisa, Dickie, Sylvia, Emma and Tim.
Both attracted fervent crowds, donning plenty of AFL colours, but Sunrise had the bigger crowd buoyed by a more central location. None of that deterred the Today team who were in amongst the crowd obliging with plenty of selfies.

I loved on Today when they surprised AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan in the crowd & Karl joked that Today must be the preferred breakfast show of the AFL.
Matching jackets for Sam and Lisa? Awkward.
