Former Socceroo John Aloisi is joining FOX Sports commentary team for the upcoming 2014/15 A-League season and the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
FOX Sports CEO, Patrick Delany, said: “John is one of Australia’s living legends of the game and in this 10th year of the A-League it is wonderful that he should join our star-studded team of experts.
“Our philosophy at FOX Sports is to bring fans their favourite sports through the eyes of experts that have been on the field – John certainly fits that bill.
“John is one of our most highly-regarded Socceroos and adds a wealth of playing experience and fresh insights around our Live coverage.”
“The team at FOX Sports are the best in the business; I couldn’t pick a better line-up to be joining each week,” said Aloisi. “Not only have we got the 10th A-League season, but the Asian Cup coming to Australia in January to look forward to as well – I can’t wait.”
A League begins on Friday, October 10.

Perfectly suited for special comments… & not coaching.
And can we get over his penalty that got us to the 2006 World Cup?
Yes that was great but …
Bresciano scored the equaliser that got us to actually have the penalty shootout.
I guess he’s giving up on professionally coaching after the nightmare he had at Melbourne Heart. He’ll enjoy commentating a lot more than coaching.
Good to have John Aloisi for FOX Sports. That way he can present well during A-League Soccer Matches.
