Jemaine Clement, one half of New Zealand duo Flight of the Conchords has a new project in development.
The four-episode comedy from Clement and Conchords’ director Taika Waititi, who have both worked on the film What We Do in the Shadows, has been commissioned by HBO.
“It was supposed to be this year but then we decided to put What We Do in the Shadows out ourselves,” he told the Guardian.
But as Conchord fans began to show enthusiasm -and even a little confusion- Clement set the record straight on Twitter.
“Before this rumour gets out of hand – we are not working on a 4 ep Conchords show for HBO,” he wrote. “I am working on another idea with them though, hence the mix-up.”
No word if Bret McKenzie and Rhys Darby will also be involved.

Ha! So they do – peas in a pod in those images.
Looking forward to Jermaine’s new project – will be interesting to see what he comes up with.
Absolutely loved Flight of The Conchords –
still one of my all time favourite shows.
(Rhys Darby as the hapless Murray was pure gold.).
Though I see that Margaret and David gave his movie, In The Shadows, an absolute mauling during At The Movies the other night.
Must say, Germaine, as a 300 odd year old vampire, came across as a sleazier, poor man’s Michell from Being Human in the promo…
I see what you did there…
David,I like that you’ve put this story right beside the Breaking Bad one.The pictures look almost the same of Jemaine & Walter White.
