2014-09-29_2226The 2014 NRL Grand Final will air on Nine this Sunday, but there are different schedules in different cities (and Daylight Saving time differences).

Coverage begins from 10:30am with Wide World of Sports with the pre-show entertainment at 6:30pm and the big game at 7:15pm AEDT.

The big game will air on Nine, not on GEM where it could have screened in HD.

Viewers in Perth and Adelaide will also miss out on the Presentation following the game’s conclusion at 9:15 AEDT. Melbourne viewers will see a 15 minute presentation while Sydney & Brisbane will see a 45 minute presentation. Earlier coverage will air on GEM in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth (see below).

Here is the schedule in Sydney AEDT:

The Nine Network will bring NRL fans a full day of action in the lead-up to the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Sunday, October 5.

At 10.30am Wide World of Sports, hosted by Ken Sutcliffe and Emma Freedman, will present a special NRL Grand Final preview show, crossing live to ANZ Stadium as game day hots up.

Fans can then roll straight into the season finale of The Sunday Footy Show at 11.30am with pre-game expert analysis from rugby league’s eighth Immortal, Andrew “Joey” Johns, Peter Sterling, Brad Fittler and Darren Lockyer. Plus Erin Molan will be on deck with all the latest news in the countdown to the big game.

At 1.30pm the live rugby league action kicks off with the Holden Cup Grand Final between the New Zealand Warriors and the Brisbane Broncos. This will be followed at 3.30pm by the inaugural State Championship Grand Final between the Penrith Panthers and the Northern Pride.

At 6.30pm, following a final wrap-up by the Nine News team, the voice of rugby league, Ray “Rabbits” Warren, will lead Nine’s NRL commentary team for the 2014 Telstra Premiership Grand Final. Joining him are Nine’s sport reporters Yvonne Sampson and Cameron Williams as well as seven grand final winners: Peter Sterling, Phil Gould (coach), Brad Fittler, Andrew Johns, Darren Lockyer, Brett Finch and Wally Lewis.

The Grand Final telecast will again be enhanced by a “second screen experience” via the Nine Network’s 9jumpin.com.au website and app. 9jumpin offers state-of-the-art features which put the viewer in control of all the action – allowing you to watch highlights of the game from up to 16 different angles. 1. the game will not before 7.30pm nine will draw out the pre game so every has been they have who has not played for 20yrs can tell you what will happen. So wish you could just watch this on Foxtel

  2. David, why can’t Nine air part or all of the post-game in Melbourne/Adelaide/Perth on GEM to allow people (like me) who want to watch the presentations to be able to do so? Why bother showing the GF if you (Nine) can’t be stuffed showing the most important thing following the game!?

  3. Again cutting it as soon as the siren sounds, it is absolutely disgraceful and I fail to see how the presentation is not included as part of the grand final on the anti siphoning list. If the Bunnies win those poor souths supporters stuck watching from Perth won’t be able to witness history of see their team lift the trophy for the first time in 43 years! Shameful.

  4. Once again no HD, just like Channel Seven with the AFL Grand Final & once again Adelaide viewers miss out on the post match presentation, I mean what is the point in showing the grand final if you don’t bother showing the post match presentation at the end?
