The reboot of Dallas by TNT has been axed after three seasons.
Executive producers Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin, said a TNT spokesperson in a statement.”TNT has decided not to renew Dallas. We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces.
“We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
The series was pulling fewer than 2 million US viewers in live-plus-same-day ratings with its season 3 finale airing to 1.7 million viewers.
Original cast members Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray recently visited Australia to promote the second season, currently screening on SoHo.
Larry Hagman’s final episode is set to screen on October 15th.
A third season is yet to air here.

I don’t understand why 1.7 to 2 million viewers means getting axed?! Sounds strong for a 3 season reboot.
Will it at least get a proper ending?
What! Nooooo! I love this show. OMG there is nothing to replace this empty hole left in my heart 🙁
Like a lot of dramas, Dallas was increasing by about a million viewers in +3 and +7’s. It was a great reboot – I’m sad to see it go.
Problem trying to duplicate the original success
No surprise there.
