Is it OK to date a friend’s ex?

That’s the question tackled by tomorrow night’s episode of It’s a Date, featuring Shaun Micallef as an eccentric theatre restaurant performer giving grief to Rove McManus.

The episode, which also features Dan Wyllie, Adrienne Pickering and Jess Harris, is written by Peter Helliar and Lawrence Mooney and filmed at both Witches in Britches and the National Theatre, in Melbourne.

Declan (Rove McManus) receives the go ahead from Hungarian Dracula performer Roland (Shaun Micallef) to date his ex-lover Tess (Adrienne Pickering). But Declan is faced with the prospect that it might not be over between them when Roland’s true intentions are publicly revealed.

Elsewhere, Sue (Veronica Milsom) pretends to have Gin’s (Jess Harris) blessing when she asks out Kane (Dan Wyllie), but is left questioning his sexuality and her own sense of loyalty when a date to the cinema proves all too revealing.

9pm Thursday ABC.
