Leigh Sales has denied she will appear in a chat show rumoured with Annabel Crabb and Dan Ilic, rumoured to be in development for ABC Friday nights.
I keep seeing these rumours I’m doing a chat show with @annabelcrabb and @danilic. Not true.

Annabel Crabb is also understood to have denied any knowledge of the show on Adelaide radio yesterday.
Meanwhile Dan Ilic has hinted at a new project but not for TV:
That thing isn’t a thing. There is a thing, but it’s not that thing. Can’t wait to tell you about the thing. Once it becomes a thing. — Dan Ilic (@danilic) October 24, 2014
Last week ABC management told Fairfax, “This information is not accurate – no ‘planning workshop’ was held. Any speculation on programming decisions is premature.”
This week Guardian Australia also reported state-based 7:30 editions would be relegated to a 10 minute segment in Sunday night news on ABC.

Friday night is a crazy time to be targeting viewers under 40 so it doesn’t make sense, probably just another scare campaign from Friends of The ABC.
As the internet and TV focus more and more on the daily insanity that is the Federal political spin, state and local government gets increasingly overlooked. They get away with really bad and biased decisions while they blame everything on a lack of money from the federal government, who are held responsible for everything from local parking to what happens in Africa and Middle East.
In Sydney the SMH is largely a tabloid driven by webclicks, so the only coverage of state and local affairs will be ABC local radio, which is just talkback from the Inner West.
I feel like the state based editions of 7.30 get lost in the national “brand” – do the vast majority of viewers realise that Mon-Thurs is national and Friday is state?
A nice solution would be for 7.30 to be national 5 nights a week.
This new Friday night panel comedy show to run from 8-10pm.
And state based current affairs to be produced by the state based news divisions and air maybe Saturday or Sunday evenings at 6pm under a new brand
“QLD this Week”, “WA This Week” etc
Joe Bloggs: Fairfax not Guardian. We will see how things pan out…. all she has indicated is not a chat show with those 2.
Russell: I reckon ABC audience is very aware Friday is state based. One only needs to look at the host. But some interesting suggestions.
So yet another Guardian and Guardian on the Yarra rumours of ABC changes quickly denied. Getting somewhat predictable.
