Sunrise was a bit too quick off the mark to convict one of its own this morning, when a news typo accidentally suggested showbiz reporter Peter Ford had been arrested in Byron Bay.
Ford, who regularly chats to the show for various entertainment stories, was understandably startled when he saw his name labelled “fugitive conman.”
Sometimes we media types can get a tad swept up with spin, but even that’s a little hot.
The strap typo should have noted Peter Foster, who is wanted on a number of arrest warrants.
