UK comedian Russell Brand was told he could be arrested when filming outside FOX News headquarters in New York City for his webcast “The Trews.”
Brand was challenging the channel’s reportage on Islam-related stories, especially by Bill O’Reilly when a security guard instructed him to leave.
Brand was also unhappy about being cancelled by FOX show Hannity after slamming how Sean Hannity spoke about the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Well done Russell!
Keep shaking the trees ’till all the Monkeys fall out! 🙂
Governments will sell permits to close of areas of public space for filming. It promotes jobs, art and the location.
But in this case they have no legal basis to stop Brand. Just last month the Supreme Court upheld the right to protest, talk to people and hand out material on public land, as long as you aren’t being offensive or threatening.
There was a better on camera confrontation half a block west…
Deep deep Maev. When movies film on footpaths does that mean we can stroll right through when filming. No. They would have had permission.
I thought footpaths were public spaces…maybe it is different in the US?!?
