Sony signs X Factor’s Reigan

X Factor favourite Reigan Derry will release her debut single in December.

reiganGreat to hear X Factor favourite Reigan Derry has been signed by Sony Music.

She will release her debut single All Of The Pieces in December with the lead track hitting the airwaves on November 20.

Derry came fourth in the Seven reality series, but proved to be the most versatile vocalist of the season.

“I was disappointed I didn’t get in the top 3 but this huge wave of support came from social media with thousands of people adding me or contacting me overnight; they came out of nowhere,” she told News Corp.

“They all swore they would support me and told me not to give up on myself.”

Other non-winners to also enjoy chart success from the show include Taylor Henderson, Nathaniel, Johnny Ruffo, Jai Watford and The Collective.

  1. @ItalianGuy1987 that’s wrong. They wrote winners singles for the top 4. The same thing happened last year, when Third D3gree released “Different Kind of Love” a month later

  2. @italianguy1987 — they don’t suddenly start working on the winners singles in the last week of the show. There are singled written and recorded for all the top 12 (or 13 this year) contestants well before they get down to the final 3.

  3. Justice. Got goosebumps when I read this on newscorp. Thanks for running it here. I’ve been thrilled with all the support she’s gotten from readers on this blog. Probably my demo but everyone I speak to that watched XFactor agreed she was far superior in ability and professionalism. Now let’s hope it translates to sales.

  4. @Rutzie only top 3 recorded winner’s singles. Reigan wasn’t in top 3 so she did no record a single for X factor.

This must be a song she is working on after being signed to Sony.

  5. A part of me wanted Reigan to win but another part of me didn’t want Reigan to win because of her previous life as a signed-to-a-record-deal artist as part of a duo (i.e. Scarlett Belle) and actually performed on the show as one of the special guests. All of that prior to being on X-Factor as a contestant.

Well done Sony for signing her up, I was shocked when she got eliminated. Now don’t stuff it up.

  6. Yes! Thanks Sony for seeing the greatness in Reigan.

Was so bummed she didn’t make the final but it seems like that didn’t matter too much to Sony in the end.
