With the theme, ‘This is Australia’ it features 3600 singing, dancing and instrumental performers from the ages of five to 18,from 456 public schools across New South Wales.

Winner of The Voice Australia, Anja Nissen, will be performing as a special guest artist at this year’s show. Anja, a former student of Winmalee High School in the Blue Mountains, has performed as a featured artist in the Schools Spectacular for the past five years.

Anja will join 2000 dancers, a 1300-voice choir, 80-piece orchestra and 46 featured artists for the Schools Spectacular, which will include performances of such hits as Never Tear Us Apart (INXS), Geronimo (Sheppard), Happy (Pharrell Williams), Let It Go from the movie Frozen, and Australian favourites such as Happy Little Vegemites, Aeroplane Jelly and C’mon Aussie C’mon.

The show will also feature a rousing performance of the Tina Turner classic River Deep Mountain High by the 1300-student choir and familiar faces from The Voice Kids – winner Alexa Curtis (Team Delta), Robbie Anderson (Team Mel), Ruhi Lavaki (Team Mel) and Harmony Lovegrove (Team Delta).

And in an Australian first, the winners of The Voice and The Voice Kids 2014, Anja Nissen and Alexa Curtis, will duet for an unforgettable powerhouse performance of Note To God.

This is Australia will unite audience and showcase these bright, young performers in a celebration of the beauty of our country’s landscape, our support of one another in the most difficult of times, and our leadership on a global scale.
