Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten is the guest on this week’s episode of Kitchen Cabinet, and Annabel brings him a very apt dessert.
Bill isn’t a regular chef, but he carefully prepares a tasty ratatouille with some close supervision from his wife Chloe Shorten.
In the kitchen, Chloe (daughter of former Governor General Dame Quentin Bryce) explains what brought her and Bill together and why being a political spouse can pose some challenges.
Over dinner Bill talks about his short-lived career in the army reserves and why he shifted his support to Kevin Rudd in the final Labor leadership ballot in 2013.
Annabel is given a free kick when it comes to ideas for dessert – naturally she presents Bill with a Strawberry Shorten cake.
