  1. Forgot to say, I do wish Scott Michaelson and Sarah Vandenbergh came back as Brad and Lauren and claimed the current incarnations were impostors. I’m also wondering if the former characters will question why the interiors of their former houses are half the size and missing rooms.

  2. I thought recently that they should bring Guy Carpenter back, he’s Lou’s son and Laurens brother. The actor whp played him was pretty hot for a short time in the 90s, with roles in E Street and then Melrose Place following his Neighbours stint.

Lucy has pretty much become the new Rosemary with her occasional appearances, and her Lassiters role. Although her story with Chris has added some spice.

  3. I’m wondering if the storyline of the returnees will be associated to Toadie’s 20th year on Ramsay Street? He is the current holder of Harold Bishops history of Ramsay Street book, and perhaps he has invited people from the book back to the street as part of a celebration, much like the video for the 20th anniversary which Annalise produced. The returnees seem to be closely associated to existing cast, Paul, Lou, and the Rebecchi’s. I’d say that Madge’s return would be part of a dream or a ‘what if she was still alive’ type scene.

  4. Interesting list. Fantastic that Des Clarke is back – an original cast member! Good on Delta for returning, next to Margot Robbie she’s probably the biggest star of the 2000s.

  5. Really? this is all they could get? How disappointing. Yay for Janelle and Sky but where’s Izzy? Lucas and Vanessa are recent so nothing exciting there and Lucy has made a few returns last year and this year.

  6. I want to see Joy Chambers return as Rosemary Daniels. As Mrs Reg Grundy in real life this would be a nod to history.
Also I would like to see Craig McLachlan return as Henry Ramsay. Maybe Henry could have some children who could stay on as a new generation of Ramsays in the street.

  7. Neighbours never quite as good at getting their old cast back as Home and Away, who usually do it brilliantly (and kill one off every time!)

It’ll be interesting to see how so many people with no real connection to current cast members all turn up at once.
