2014-11-03_2228Seven may own the broadcast rights to the Spring Racing Carnival but yesterday Nine got in the mood for a party with their first Cup Eve cocktail party high atop the Eureka tower in Melbourne.

In attendance were Livinia Nixon, Tony Jones, Jo Hall, Clint Stanaway, Garry Lyon, Billy Brownless, Gary Sweet, Gyton Grantley, Ben Schumann, Rebecca Judd, and The Block’s Shannon & Simon and Karstan & Max.

They were joined by media, sponsors and Nine Publicity.

The Voice‘s Jackson Thomas entertained guests as they sipped champers and admired the dramatic views, 89 floors above the city.

Jockey Glen Boss, riding Who Shot the Barman today, was also giving last minute insight into riding the nation’s biggest race.

A race he said anybody could still win.

  1. Yes they had Livinia do the weather from there. I liked how we got a sneak peek during Sport when they accidentally cut to her unawares, staring out a window, instead of going back to Tony at Flemington. She seemed to be having a great time.
