Some hand-picked highlights to cheer you up this Christmas season.

I’ve selected a bunch of first run titles here. There will also be the usual family fare such as National Lampoon movies on Nine, The Sound of Music on TEN and Marc Fennell has some twisted cult movies on SBS 2 I will post separately.

  1. I wish Seven aired Michael Buble’s Christmas special last year. It’s been the only one they haven’t shown on free-to-air. It featured an amazing duet with Mariah Carey! Thank God for YouTube, I suppose 🙂

  2. @David ignore my previous comment as on rereading your article missed the Thursday night airing on 7two of Michael Buble Christmas. Was already aware of the Saturday night one from the epg.

  3. ABC is showing the British movie ‘Nativity!’ on Christmas morning. I know it’s a repeat but surely it deserves a better timeslot than 7.00am! Both it and its sequel are great Christmas films.
