Popular ABC3 series Nowhere Boys is getting a feature film, Nowhere Boys: The Rise of the Bear.
Screen Australia is funding the project, to be written by Tony Ayres, Rhys Graham, Craig Irvin and produced by Beth Frey.
The Nowhere Boys are called upon to help avert a magical catastrophe, and in doing so, they unwittingly transport a powerful teenage witch into their world which unleashes the full wrath of the Restoring Demon. Will they return the unwilling Tegan back to her universe in time to stop the Restoring Demon from destroying everything and everyone they love?
Screen Australia is also funding a new ‘high-end television project,’ Trip from See-Saw Productions.
Described as “an audacious re-imagining of an epic Chinese story” the Pilot is written by Louise Fox (Glitch, Broadchurch), and produced by Emile Sherman, Iain Canning (The King’s Speech), Jamie Laurenson and Rachel Gardner.
The project is expected to partner with international broadcasters.

Excellent news, Nowhere Boys is the best show that Family’s can watch together since Spellbinder in the mid 90’s.
Any word on a third series being made too?
We love the Nowhere Boys at our place so this is good news!
