American Idol gets underway in mid-January on ELEVEN.
This season the show has done away with the Results show and will merge the elimination into the Performance show -and about time too.
Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta replaces Randy Jackson as mentor and Adam Lambert filled in for Keith Urban during Auditions when he attended the funeral of Nicole Kidman’s father.
ELEVEN fast-tracks with back to back episodes on January 8 / 9 and will also screen some Auditions as double episodes on its regular night, Fridays.
“Auditions”
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the hopeful idols will sing in front of a judging panel consisting of Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. & Keith Urban.
7:30pm Thursday January 8th on ELEVEN.

Personally I love American Idol and I’ll be happily tuning in. Fast-tracking is the only way to go with reality TV because spoilers abound. Thanks Eleven for delivering what the fans want, even if they’re small in numbers!
They’re really desperate to fill time in the silly season. Now Nine is going to show America’s Got Talent on the main channel.
Why is this show still on?
Seriously? Fast-tracked? Why would anyone here watch the 100th season (feels like it) of American Idol? “Reality” TV has become a predictable bore!
