Saved by the Bell’s ‘Screech’ arrested in bar stabbing

Another case of a teen star hitting rock bottom….
Dustin Diamond, best known for his role as Screech on Saved By The Bell, was arrested on Friday for possession of a switchblade, reckless endangerment in the first degree and carrying a concealed weapon.
The Huffington Post reports Diamond, 37, allegedly stabbed a man after getting into an argument on Christmas night. The man and some friends were reportedly being “rude” and “insulting” toward Diamond and his girlfriend.
“Diamond stated that he did not intentionally stab the individual in the bar but that chaos broke out and people were grabbing at him and that he swung his arms to break free,” a police report states.
Court documents say the victim suffered a half-inch wound with “substantial bleeding” under the arm pit.
Diamond, who starred as ‘Screech’ on the comedy franchise including Good Morning Miss Bliss, Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class from 1988 to 2000.
Diamond has been no stranger to controversy. In 2006 he directed and released his own sex tape, and in 2009 he published a book about his days on Saved By The Bell that described the teen cast as a hard-partying, sex-crazed bunch. The rest of the cast has disputed his memoirs. The book was recently turned into a telemovie.
He has a hearing scheduled for Dec. 29.

he looks a lot less geeky/nerdy these days, when compared to how he was on the show. I like his view that the cast was a sex crazed bunch…….someone could do a xxxfantasy Saved by the Bell
I read his statement where he said he “inadvertently” stabbed the guy. How the hell do you “inadvertently” stab someone?!?! It’s like Homer Simpson chewing “ok pie, I’m going to do this, and if you get in the way, it’s your own fault”!!!
