Former CSI: New York star Gary Sinise will star in another spin-of this time following on from Criminal Minds.
The Hollywood Reporters notes the spinoff is currently set as a pilot that will shoot in mid-February and air as a planted episode in the flagship series at a later date. It focuses on the division of the FBI that helps American citizens who find themselves in trouble abroad.
Sinise will star as Jack Garrett, a 20-year veteran of the bureau who is currently in charge of the FBI’s top team for handling cases involving Americans abroad.

Lets hope the cast gel better this time. The last one failed because they tried to make it an exact copy of the original. They can work spin-off series but they have to be done right. I just hope this time AJ Cook doesn’t get sacked again.
What business would the FBI have in a foreign country?-The US State Dept looks after citizens in another country to the extent possible and only to what another jurisdiction allows.
Sounds somewhat interesting, hopefully lasts longer than the first spin-off.
Might be good for Seven as another show for the back half of the year.
Good to see CBS thinking outside the box with yet another police procedural and yet another spin-off.
Let’s hope this spin-off is better than the first, I didnt even watch the full pilot episode within the original series. Plus, this better not result in cast from the main show being axed or downgraded for cost savings once again. I think the viewer backlash from the last time they did that might have helped CBS learn something.
