While it will also screen on ABC2 next week, the first screening of the Brit Awards in Australia will take place on UKTV.

Hosted by Ant & Dec this will air within hours of its UK broadcast at 12 midday Thursday 26th February with an encore screening at 8.30pm.

Established in 1977, the awards are now an annual glittering, champagne-fuelled, star-studded evening featuring live performances and unique collaborations from some of the world’s biggest artists.

Ant & Dec are certainly no strangers to the music industry, with fourteen Top 20 hits of their own including Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble, which was re-released in 2013 and went straight to the top of the charts. On top of that, they have three multi-platinum albums, and re-wrote and recorded the official World Cup anthem for the England football team in 2002.

Expect another line-up of big names and fantastic performances with details for the 2015 ceremony to be confirmed shortly.
