The Morning Show‘s Glenn Wheeler woke from a coma this week, following his scooter accident late last month.

“Glenn woke from a coma over the weekend and he is in the very early and delicate stages of resting his brain and other injuries,” his family wrote on Facebook.

“He continues to show signs that he’s with us and at times we feel he hasn’t lost his sense of humour.

“We know however that the road to recovery is very long and at times at the request of ICU medical staff, we need to allow him time to rest and therefore need to keep his visitors to a minimum,” the statement said.

“Once he has progressed further we of course will encourage those close to him to come and see the great man and spur him on in his recovery.”

Wheeler front advertorials on The Morning Show and contributes to segments, and hosts radio in Sydney.

  1. That’s wonderful news —one month to the day after the terrible incident that landed Glenn in hospital…. Glenn is one of the true gentlemen and good blokes of media and we all wish him a full recovery. I know he will be fighting every inch of the way… Can’t wait to hear him back on radio doing what he does best — entertaining and having fun along the way…Big thoughts of strength and healing to Glenn tonight and in the months ahead.
