Original MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin and cricketer Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff are the next celebrities to be dropped into the jungle for TEN’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

They will be seen in Sunday’s episode, along with a Double Eviction for the current participants.

This is the first time TEN has revealed its celebrities ahead of broadcast, suggesting the network is keen to capitalise on media interest in the show amid heated ratings traffic.

It will air against My Kitchen Rules and The Block.

6.30pm Sunday on TEN.

  1. Damn, I was hoping Huey was going into the jungle hahaha.. Don’t know why I or anyone else would want to see him in there, but could have been interesting.

  2. I have nothing against Julie Goodwin but the last time I looked she wasn’t actually a ‘chef’ but is a cook.
Freddie was really good when he did a guest host stint on The Project. Funny and talented man.

    1. I’ve been dipping in and out of I’m a celeb and I like the addition of Freddie. I agree he was good during the big bash. A bit harsh on here about Julie Goodwin. I’m just going to wait and see how she goes. I’m surprised they are bundling intruders and evictions on the same night. They probably should’ve left intruders for Monday like they did last week.

  3. Agreed – Julie Goodwin is such a disappointing choice! The guy from The Living Room would’ve been better because he at least has a personality. But the way they sold it – a celebrity chef – was very much an oversell – I can’t remember a time when I’ve ever actually seen her cook on a tv show since Masterchef.

    1. Yeah, I probably would have preferred the chef on the living room (miguel is it?) too. Think he definitely would have brought a bit more excitement than Julie.

  4. Julie Goodwin? I think they would have been better off not putting anyone extra in at all if their choice was so limited. Sad that someone is leaving in an eviction to make room for her.

As for flintoff, never heard of him until now but then I don’t pay attention to cricket. I knew of Merv Hughes though being a well known player from many years.

  5. Channel 10 really really really have to stop over-selling the identity of intruders. Please take the hype down a notch and then viewers who were expecting Jamie Oliver won’t be peed off when a D list chef shows up instead. Same goes for the over-hyping before the underwhelming reveal of Tim whatsisname and Anna thingy.

    1. I so have to agree agent x. I am still looking for some better content related to the cultural context. All those food tasks. A real African based task would have been something like : Bring in two people from a local tribe. It’s set in Southern Africa so, they grill Mopani Worms – which are actually caterpillars. These are quite a staple food for some people in SA. So, the celebs are divided into groups and they have to locate the Mopani and cook them up with tomatoes, onions etc as they are normally done in street cafes. I believe they taste similar to plasterboard, earth and salt and are very very chewy!! Now, that is a far far better kind of task than so far seen.
