Nine News Perth co-presenter Libby Stone is leaving less than a year after joining, in order to reunite with her husband, Josh Brady.
“It’s been a wonderful experience to be part of the Nine team in Perth and to be part of what’s taking place there, but I’m looking forward to rejoining the Nine team in Brisbane and where my husband is based for work,” Stone said.
She joined from QTQ last April, but will be replaced by Emmy Kubainski from Seven News, Brisbane, in April.
“Emmy is an outstanding presenter and reporter, and we’re thrilled that she’s joined Nine as we keep on building our team and bulletins,” news director Shaun Menegola said.

Gee Channel 9 isn’t having much luck – they really really need consistency in their news team. Great to have Emmy back on our screens even if I don’t watch 9 news. She was great on weekends with 7
That was very short lived.
I don’t think Tim works well with a co host, however it is interesting that Emmy is heading back here to WA
Emmy Kubainski is a good choice. She is well known to viewers as she presented Seven News on the weekends for many years here in Perth. Hopefully she will be able to make a long term commitment to the role.
