SBS is doubling up on episodes for US dramas Rectify and Mad Men.
From next Wednesday February 18, there will be two episodes of Rectify at 9:30pm. It will end with a double ep finale on February 25th (repeats on Tuesday will be doubles from Feb 24).
Mad Men, currently screening in Season 5, will begin double episodes from 10:15pm Sunday February 22nd.

What’s with Free to Air networks and their obsession with double episodes
Hm, SBS are doing more of this sort of thing lately. Have they recently hired a programmer from Seven or Nine? It’ll push their late news out to around 11:20 on Wed. Presumably they’re making room for something to start in March.
I don’t mind because I’m recording them so I can binge-watch the whole season!
Oh, also editing out the ads….. much better viewing!
Who thought this was a good idea? Jeez.
Ah yes the old it’s ratings season so there’s too much stuff on for viewers to find the time to watch one episode — so we’ll put on 2 they won’t watch!
