Redfern Now is back next month for what may well be its last instalment, a telemovie that brings together many of the series faces into a single, dramatic storyline.

This stars Deborah Mailman, Wayne Blair, Rarriwuy Hick, Lisa Flanagan and guest stars Anthony Hayes.

After a night out on the town, three Aboriginal girls fail to hail down a taxi and are forced to walk home.

After parting with her friends, Robyn Davis (Rarriwuy Hick) decides to take a shortcut and is attacked and sexually assaulted. Initially she tries to hide it from her father, Aaron Davis (Wayne Blair), but reluctantly agrees to tell him what’s troubling her after swearing him to secrecy.

A father first, and a policeman second, he goes against his better judgment and agrees to keep her secret, not realising the consequences of his decision.

A Blackfella Films production in association with ABC TV and Screen Australia.

Redfern Now: The Telemovie 8:30pm Thursday April 9 on ABC.
