It will be a Prison Break reunion (again) when Dominic Purcell joins Wentworth Miller in the upcoming Flash / Arrow spin-off.
The Aussie actor will reprise his role as pyromaniac Heat Wave who teams up with Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) -both actors made guest appearances on The Flash already. It will be their first series regular roles since Prison Break ended in 2009.
The untitled spin-off will combine characters from both superhero dramas, from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.
The series is expected to revolve around The Atom (Brandon Routh) with other cast members being Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), and Arrow‘s Caity Lotz.
Purcell is the latest Aussie to be cast in small screen superhero shows, following Toby Leonard Moore in Daredevil plus Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville and Wil Traval in Jessica Jones, both due on Netflix.

I love Wentworth Miller but he is dreadful in Flash as is Dominic Purcell, but he wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire in Prison Break.
A case of when you have a moderate successful idea flog it to death. Hopefully they have a better idea than The Flash which is looking more and more like Smallville despite all their protestations, (they’ve even copied the 3 act Monster of the Week plus an epilogue of soap structure), except the students of Smallville High act more mature.
Another Aussie was Chris Nable appearing in the current season of Arrow.
correction, Matt Nable.
David I think you mean Rachael Taylor not Hunter is in Jessica Jones.
Bugger, thanks.
