Fashion Police on hiatus after Griffin, Osbourne exits.

US talk show Fashion Police has been put on hold until September following the profile departures of Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne.

The U-turn comes just weeks after the show was relaunched with Griffin replacing Joan Rivers.

But Griffin and Osbourne both exited not long after comments by Giuliana Rancic about the dreadlocks Zendaya Coleman was sporting at the Oscars last month. Griffin said her departure was due to her style not fitting with the creative direction of the show.

In a statement, E! said, “E!’s comedy series Fashion Police is going on hiatus and will return in September. We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with Executive Producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of Fashion Police fans around the world.”

Rancic, who hosted the ASTRA Awards last week in Sydney, later apologised for her remarks. The joke was reportedly written for her.
