Seven wins third ratings week

Ratings: Even with some controversy. MKR tops another week for Seven.

Even with some controversy and a new instant restaurant judge, My Kitchen Rules snared the top 4 spots for the week as high as 1.62m viewers on Monday.

There wasn’t much change in the ratings results last week with Seven securing a third week under their belt.

Nine: 26.8
ABC: 19.0
TEN: 17.1
SBS: 5.4

Primary channel:
Seven: 22.4
Nine: 18.2
ABC: 14.1
TEN: 12.7
SBS ONE: 4.4

Other brands for Seven were Seven News (Sun: 1.12m), Australia: The Story of Us (945,000) and Downton Abbey (772,000).

The Block (Sun: 1.08m) topped Nine’s week then Nine News (1.1m) and The Big Bang Theory (Tue: 887,000).

New Tricks (983,000) was best for ABC. Sunday’s ABC News (983,000) and The Doctor Blake Mysteries (961,000) followed.

Shark Tank has snatched first place on TEN at 770,000. It even beat I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! on three channels with a separately-coded eviction (756,000). More simulcasting ensured Family Feud orchestrated 560,000.

Walking Through History (320,000), Insight (304,000) and Who Do You Think You Are? (281,000) were best for SBS ONE.

Seven again led in the demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven won every night except Saturday, snatched by Nine. ABC defeated TEN on Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday and also bettered Seven on Saturday (ABC did top primary channels on Saturday).

Seven was victorious in all 5 cities.

  1. The last two weeks haven’t been close and it will stay this way until at least easter by which then Seven should have an unattainable lead for the remainder of the year.
