ABC revamps The Business with Ticky Fullerton next week on ABC News 24.

The show is changing from one half-hour show to two 15-minute editions, which ABC advises is ‘to better match the needs of its audience.’

The first edition will air at 4.30pm (AEDT), straight after financial markets close, and the second at 8.30pm (AEDT). The second edition will be replayed 11pm local time on ABC TV.

Head of Current Affairs Bruce Belsham said: “Our business reporting and producing staff have been putting a lot of effort into content initiatives across the whole day.

“Combined with the relaunch of Lateline, also on March 9, The Business helps build a strong current affairs presence on our dedicated News channel for the mid-evening schedule.”

The relaunch of The Business is part of expanded business and financial coverage in 2015 which also includes:

– A 10-minute Business PM program on ABC Local Radio at 6.50pm local time, also hosted by Ticky Fullerton

– The addition of specialist business co-host Del Irani to the ABC News Breakfast team

– Increased business reporting throughout the day on ABC News Digital

The ABC continues its commitment to business, financial and economic coverage through the day on radio news and current affairs, News 24 and the 7pm News.

The ABC’s newly formed National Business Team is led by Business Editor Ian Verrender and also includes senior journalists Alan Kohler, Peter Ryan and Phillip Lasker.

Begins 4:30pm / 8:30pm Monday ABC News 24.

  1. I was wondering when this would return, have been enjoying the Business with Ticky the Tickmeister Fullerton. Still disappointed that Grandstand has been axed. Those two shows are the only two that i watch/ed the most. I don’t agree with Lateline being put on Live on News 24 at 9.30pm why cant they just have Lateline 4 days per week and leave QandA where it is on News 24. No dount QandA’s audience would be bigger than Latelines.
