Dannii Minogue back on X Factor

Redfoo out, Dannii in -leaving two more chairs to be confirmed.

2015-04-24_1626

Dannii Minogue is returning to The X Factor this year on Seven.

She made the announcement on Sunrise yesterday.

With Redfoo already out, it leaves the question of who may now join her?

News Corp has previously reported “two new superstar mentors” will be joining the program and today suggests Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte are “believed not to be coming back.”

Bassingthwaighte is currently working on the New Zealand series, following the controversial exit of Natalia Kills and Willy Moon.

Any suggestions?

  1. Ricki-Lee would be perfect, she’s been through the process and managed to carve out a 11 year career since. She’s worked hard and would be the perfect mentor.

  2. Perhaps Darren Hayes from savage garden. He has great talent and know how being in one of the biggest bands I’m the world in 90’s early 00’s.

  3. I would like to see Gotye. He has a great personality. He’s the whole package; credible, talented, current, australian, entertaining.

Last season I really warmed to Nat, I would miss her if she left. She has some great ideas with the acts she mentors.
Didn’t ronan say he was not returning ages ago? They should try to do an all Aussie panel with dannii, Nat, guy, gotye

  4. i never liked red foo on there anyways. Dannii i don’t mind. If the rumors are that Ronan and Nat aren’t returning i think Anthony Callea, Ricki Lee and Katy Perry would be good

    1. If there are any doubts re Katie Noonan…head to YouTube and watch her rendition of I Am Australian for the MH17 memorial. This woman is a treasure. youtube.com/watch?v=ZHZpoLUfJXo

    2. I think the only doubt about Katie is that 98% of people watching would go “who?” when she’s introduced. Great vocal talent for sure though, but not right for a show like X Factor.

        1. Dannii Minogue carries credibility from her YTT days. What the show needs is two more of her alumni from that classic show to join her, perhaps John Bowles and Tina Arena or Jamie Redfern and Jane Scali, these would be excellent candidates, providing they were able(breaking from already-busy schedules) and willing to give their time.

      1. Actually Bruce, your post has prompted me to suggest that perhaps during various series, highly talented Aussies need to be given cameo or similar appearances. You were right, but, what a shame such talented people aren’t known. I mean, when it comes to singing talent there is no competition between K. Noonan and D, Minogue. Western society keeps rewarding people who get known rather than actual sheer talent. But perhaps these days getting known is key (refer Kardashians).

  5. Not Daniel McPherson he’s not right for the show anyway I think Luke Jacobz is still doing a great job and Ronan Keating is great as a Judge getting rid of Redfoo is enough of a change didn’t like him anyway

    1. The only thing about Luke I don’t like is his overhyping of the judges and the screaming when introducing them each episode. Apart from that, and his awkwardness in interviewing guest musical performers, he’s fine.

  6. Hoping there is going to be a new host too?! The show does need to have a new feel… maybe Daniel McPherson? -wasn’t he the original host when the show was on Ten or maybe Scott Tweedy from ‘The Loop’ on Ten…

  7. Think Tina Arena would be good, she kind of helped last year in the X Factor, but think Pink would be perfect, though somehow I cant see her wanting to do the show as I am sure she would have too many other commitments, think Ronan should come back he is very good and knows his music, as for the second male not really sure who would fit the bill perhaps some one like Ed Sheeran, but don’t think he would even consider it.

    1. Well Ed Sheeran is doing a second Australian tour later this year- maybe he could fit x factor in, and channel seven offered a huge amount of money?

  8. I don’t get why Nat wouldn’t be offered back – she isn’t making music and is still contracted to Sony Music Australia so she is perfect. My fingers are crossed that she returns.

    1. Well Natalie Imbruglia is rumoured to/ is supposed to be releasing a new album later this year/early next year. Maybe her promo team thought she could return to her original judging chair? To get more public awareness about her music and probably probably reveal an exclusive single or two

  9. yes yes yes! i always loved dannii and always supported her acts during the show. i hope both nat and ronan go..not because i don’t like them but because they’ve been there the longest and we need to shake up the show a bit with some new mentors…if they could get an aussie singer like jess mauboy or ricki-lee to be a mentor that would be amazing
