They weren’t allocated a presenting gig at the Logie Awards but Neighbours much-loved couple Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne will still get to present awards next week -at the Australian Directors Guild Awards.

The duo will discuss their time on the show before honouring the 87 directors who have worked on the soap over its 30 year run. Younger cast members, Ariel Kaplan and Harley Bonner will also be presenters.

Other presenters include Robert Connolly, Nadine Garner, Sigrid Thornton and Denise Roberts.
Ex-ABC exec Stuart Menzies will present the Michael Carson Award to Chris Langman and Ray Argall, the President of the ADG, will present the ADG/DGA Finders Award to Craig Monahan for his film Healing.

The event takes place on Friday 8 May, hosted by Chris Taylor, at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.

  1. The fact that no one from Neighbours will be presenting at the Logies in its 30th year is a disgrace.

    Nine, shame on you.

Between the debate over so few women in the Hall of Fame and the Neighbours snub, this could be an interesting night to tune in to see what all this leads to.

  2. When I saw this article’s headline I thought Nine had changed their minds. I’m still hoping one of Ten’s presenters at the Logies will mention the show.

  3. Why were these two overlooked for the Logies escapes me…..apart from the fact that is a nine network show.

About the only Nine show I will watch as when they start a series it goes for a few weeks then either gets dropped or changed umpteen times. What happened to Gotham ?
