UK fantasy Atlantis, from the team behind Merlin, returns to FOX8 this Sunday for its second and final season.

The series premiered in the UK in November across two parts -the second began there in April, meaning this can now playout as one full season.

A fantasy drama set in a world of legendary heroes and mythical creatures. Far from home, Jason washes up on the shores of the ancient and mysterious city of Atlantis. This show, produced by BBC and the same team who worked on hit, Merlin, mixes fantasy and adventure. Fans were rocked by the shocking reveal at the end of the first series that Paisphae was in fact Jason’s mother. In Season Two Pasiphae’s desire to reign has not subsided and rivalry with Ariadne takes her to new depths. Jason’s personal involvement with Ariadne is surely a complication for Pasiphae, but will the knowledge that Jason is her flesh and blood weaken her resolve?

Sundays from April 26 at 6.30pm

  1. The reason it was shown in two blocks was that it was cancelled and pulled at Christmas, halfway through the season. The BBC burnt the rest off around Easter.

Fox 8 originally promoted it for the 19th back in March, but it got bumped by the Simpson Mega Marathon during April holidays.
And its been dumped and replaced with Last Man Standing tonight. Not listed for next week any more either.

Merlin did the Smallville thing with the Merlin legends. It had a good cast and balance of drama and comedy. Atlantis is just Jason and his two buffoons and it never really worked.
