Lisa Wilkinson and Karl Stefanovic had their share of drama this morning during a hot air balloon ride over the Barossa Valley in South Australia.
Things went awry for the Today hosts when the balloon clipped a gumtree, bouncing before it hit the ground.
“So, they said, to finish @thetodayshow we’ve had a great idea: we’re going to send you both up in a hot air balloon so you can check out the stunning #Barossa from on high! You cool with that? Sure, we said. What can go wrong, we said…. So, here is us in happier times,” Wilkinson tweeted.
“And then we umm, landed. All good. Nothing to see here…”
The show ended on air with the hosts in the air so was missed by viewers, while the on-board cameraman missed filming it due to having to hold on for dear life.
Aside from bruises, nobody was injured.
