Eurovision 2015: France

Lisa Angell delivers a stirring ballad, with lyrics about survival, for France.

Representing the official language of Eurovision, the French are always a very proud act, and remain one of the “Big 5” (now 6) acts that automatically qualify for the Final because they contribute so much financially to the EBU.

This year Lisa Angell delivers a stirring ballad, with lyrics about survival. It is a metaphor of a village destroyed but with hope to rebuild, no doubt a metaphor for many.

Lisa Angell – N’oubliez pas (France) (Eurovision Song Contest: Final)

Gifted with a powerful voice, Lisa Angell is extremely “proud and happy” to represent her country in Vienna. On stage, the French participant will perform N’oubliez Pas – a song of “hope and peace, of courage and solidarity”.

Lisa Angell grew up with a dream of becoming a singer. One day, the young singer took a decision to live from music, performing in piano bars across the French Riviera. Afterwards she recorded her single Des Années Après written by Didier Barbelivien (2001). In 2009 invited by the magician Dani Lary on his show, Lisa met Patrick Sébastien, a very popular showman who produced and wrote songs for her first album Les Divines (2011).
