These boys wow with their popera and are currently second favourites according to the bookies. Damn you, Italy. For years you ignored Eurovision for the San Remo Festival and now you’re at risk of winning the thing.

Il Volo – Grande Amore (Italy) (Eurovision Song Contest: Final)

Il Volo is a powerhouse Italian pop opera trio featuring Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble and were discovered by renowned manager Michele Torpedine. During the last few years, Il Volo have performed all over the world, released massively-selling albums and joined legendary songstress Barbra Streisand on tour!

Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble were spotted in 2009 on the RAI TV show, Ti Lascio Una Canzone, but it was thanks to the intuition of Michele Torpedine (the manager who built the careers of Andrea Bocelli and Zucchero) that they became a trio, Il Volo.
