Footy Show Fight Night: Aus v Japan: Dib v Miura
Billy “The Kid” Dib takes on Takashi Miura in Tokyo tonight, on Nine and GEM.

The boxing bout between Billy “The Kid” Dib and Takashi Miura in Tokyo will be broadcast immediately after the ANZAC Rugby League Test tonight on either Nine or GEM.
If he wins Dib will become the first Australian to secure the elusive WBC Super Featherweight World Title.
The Footy Show co-host Erin Molan will host coverage of the bout, joined in expert commentary by veteran sportscaller Ray Hadley and former IBF Middleweight and WBA Super Middleweight Champion Daniel “The Real Deal” Geale. Geale is Australia’s number one middleweight boxer, with a career record of 31 wins from 34 fights.
The WBC Super Featherweight belt has eluded Australian boxing legends such as Lionel Rose and Jeff Fenech. Dib hopes to bring home the prestigious title, which has been held by boxing champions Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao, who will be facing off against each other this Sunday in their own highly anticipated “Fight of the Century”.

So does this debacle go on the early list?
I tuned in on Nine at 10pm to watch the fight, to only find out that some James Bond film is on instead.
The Rugby League game got postponed til Sunday due to bad weather, and the boxing got bumped up to a live status at approx. 8.30pm (going on some rugby league forums). A shame that i didn’t realise that the initial broadcast was a delayed telecast (other sites mentioned a 10pm start too)
will give this a go.
