SPOILER: Grey’s Anatomy.
Perennial animated family The Simpsons are set to continue, for two more seasons.
FOX has renewed through to Seasons 27 and 28 which will take the show up to 625 episodes.
The show is already America’s longest-running primetime scripted series.
A renewal was never in any doubt, with 7 episodes for next season already in the can, and the current season averaging 6.2 million total viewers.
“I’ve outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and ‘McDreamy,’ because I have something they don’t: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction,” Homer Simpson quipped.
New episodes are currently screening in Australia on ELEVEN.
Meanwhile, Family Guy also is fully expected to get renewed.

Not so sure because I don’t have it but assume you can watch The Simpsons on the Ten App called Ten Play.!
Is there any way to watch this other than on Ch 11 ? I don’t own a tv anymore.
Who knows what adventures the Simpsons will have between now and the time the show becomes unprofitable…
Wooohoooo!!!!
Thanks David for the news.!
So happy to read this news.
The Simpsons are the Best!! Will live forever!! Go The Simpsons!!!!!
“Spoiler: Grey’s Anatomy.”
Huh?
It’s in Homer’s quote, but we should hold off discussion until ep airs tonight.
David if you are talking about the episode Walking Big & Tall it airs tomorrow not tonight.
No, Grey’s Anatomy.
That’s great news! People may say that the show should have finished seasons ago, but I still get a laugh out of the new episodes. I just find it a real shame that the DVDs have stopped as I really enjoyed the commentaries and deleted scenes.
Yay! The Simpsons should keep going!!! 🙂
The writers just need to keep the real family stories going, not rely on the extremes or news stuff so much.
Hopefully!
Excellent! 🙂
What I love about this series is no matter what conflicts they have during an episode,in the end it always gets resolved & more importantly the love they share for each other as a family.
With all due respect, you are describing about 95% of 80’s/90’s family centred sitcoms. Although I do agree with your point 100%.
I don’t think that applies to the Homer/Bart ‘relationship’ generally…
